Fades, tapers and razor fades on West Mulberry in Fort Collins. $35 for a fade or taper, $41 for a razor fade. Each one is booked for 45 minutes.
Fade. A no guard fade. It starts at 0 at the bottom and blends up to whatever length you want on top. Low, mid or high, tell your barber where you want it to start.
Taper. Only the neckline and sideburns are faded, and the rest keeps its length. It can start as short as you like. Good if you want it clean around the edges without going short on the sides.
Razor fade. As short as it goes. The bottom is taken down to skin with a straight razor, then blended up.
If you're not sure, book a fade and bring a photo. It's easier to show than to explain.
A fade looks its sharpest for about two weeks. Most regulars come back every two to three weeks. A taper grows out slower, so you can stretch it longer.
